A Sit-down Interview with Christopher Adornato, Junior Partner and Creative Director

March 22, 2024

Solari Creative

a creative agency

Interviewer: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us, Christopher. Could you start by telling us a bit about Solari Creative and its journey over the past 20 plus years?

Christopher: Absolutely, it’s my pleasure. Solari Creative was founded over two decades ago with a vision to blend creativity with technology to deliver impactful experiences for our clients. Our journey has been one of constant evolution, staying ahead of trends and technologies to ensure we remain relevant in an ever-changing landscape. We started as a small team of passionate individuals, and over the years, we’ve grown into a full-service creative agency, offering a wide range of services including branding, design, web, video, motion graphics, and animation.

Interviewer: That sounds like quite the journey! How has Solari Creative adapted to the changing demands of the creative industry over the years?

Christopher Adornato, Jr. Partner, Creative Director

Christopher: Adaptation has been key to our success. As technology has advanced and consumer behaviors have shifted, we’ve made it a priority to stay ahead of the curve. This means constantly learning new skills, exploring emerging platforms, and rethinking traditional approaches to creativity.   For example, print advertisement in 99 and digital advertising in 2024 share a lot of the same principles but now we can take the same design and give it life.  We can animate it, we can have it interactive, it can change…the possibilities are endless…but the core of a great design is still the same.

We’ve also focused on building a diverse team with a wide range of talents and perspectives, allowing us to tackle any challenge that comes our way.

Interviewer: It’s clear that innovation is at the core of Solari Creative’s ethos. Can you share any particularly memorable projects or milestones from the company’s history?

Christopher: There have been so many memorable moments over the years, but one that stands out is our work on a major campaign for a new emerging technology in 2010.   The make-up giant Loreal was just starting to use technology to enhance the customers experience through your cell phone through an app called “MakeUp Genius”.  The goal was simple, using Augmented Reality, you can see how make-up would look directly on you, find the best match, and order it.  Even talking about this now, this seems so old, but only 10-12 years ago this was revolutionary.  It was a massive undertaking but rewarding and served as validation of our creative approach.

Interviewer: That sounds like a significant achievement indeed. Looking ahead, what do you see as the biggest opportunities and challenges for Solari Creative in the years to come?

Christopher: The biggest opportunity for us lies in the continued convergence of creativity and technology. As artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and other emerging technologies become more prevalent, there will be endless opportunities to create truly immersive experiences for our clients and their customers. However, this also presents challenges in terms of staying ahead of the curve and ensuring that we have the skills and expertise to take full advantage of these opportunities. Additionally, the competitive landscape continues to evolve, so maintaining our position as a leader in the industry will require ongoing innovation and a commitment to excellence.

Interviewer: It sounds like Solari Creative has an exciting future ahead. Before we wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with our audience?

Christopher: I would just like to express my gratitude to our clients, partners, and team members who have been instrumental in our success over the past 20 plus years. Without their support and dedication, none of this would be possible. We’re excited about what the future holds for Solari Creative, and we look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation in the years to come.

Interviewer: Thank you, Christopher, for sharing your insights with us. It’s been a pleasure speaking with you.

Christopher: Likewise, thank you for the opportunity.
